Yesterday’s Hitter Award goes to Detroit Tigers dh Victor Martinez. Last night Martinez hit his 24th home run, a grand slam in the 7th. He also started off the Tigers scoring with a double in the first. Martinez was 2 for 3 on the night, walking twice and driving in 5 in the Tigers 6-0 win against the Rays.
