Yesterday’s Hitter 09-15-14: Mark Trumbo

Yesterday’s Hitter Award goes to Arizona Diamondbacks first baseman Mark Trumbo.  Trumbo went 2 for 4 yesterday, with a homerun and 5 RBI’s.  Trumbo started Arizona’s scoring in the third with a Grand Slam, then finished it with a single to center in the seventh.  The Diamonbacks beat the Giants 6-2.

Yesterday’s Hitter 09-11-14: Yunel Escobar

Yesterday’s Hitter Award goes to the Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Yunel Escobar.  Escobar did everything in his power to beat the Yankees last night.  He went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs and 4 RBI’s.  It  wasn’t quite enough though, as the Yankees beat the Rays 5-4  on a walk-off home run by Chris Young.

Yesterday’s Hitter Award goes to Nick Markakis of the Baltimore Orioles. Not only did Markakis rob a two-run homer defensively, he also went 3 for 5 with a two-run homer and 2 RBI’s in the Orioles 8-2 win over the White Sox yesterday.
