Yesterday’s Hitter Award goes to someone who many people may think isn’t deserving, when you have guys like Buster Posey going 3 for 5 and Jose Altuve going 4 for 5. I feel the most deserving of Yesterday’s Hitter Award is Adam Wainwright of the St. Louis Cardinals. Now not only did Wainwright get his 16th win of the season last night, he also went 1 for 3 with 3 RBI’s. Now 1 for 3 isn’t overly impressive in the box score, but this guy is a pitcher and we all know pitchers aren’t really suppose to hit. The 3 RBI’s were also crucial when the final score was 6-4. Kudos Adam!
